It’s no secret that expert performance in the performing arts requires a substantial and sustained time investment into deliberate practice over time. But not all time and energy spent practicing contributes equally to technical and artistic development. Practicing while being fatigued or overloaded is often counterproductive and leads to injuries and burnout. This workshop will introduce strategies to help student and professional performing artists practice both hard and smart and maximize the impact of the time and energy spent in the practice room.
