This presentation will explore the myth of perfection and the ways in which its insidious demands can potentially interfere with our artwork on different levels. We will discuss both internal and external demands/expectations that can destroy the self-worth, creativity and joy inherent in every artist. We will address such questions as: What is healthy and realistic in terms of self-motivation and self-evaluation? What do unrelenting self-demands serve and why do they persist in the face of their negative impact? How can we manage our internal critics? How does this bear on the dreams we hold about our careers and our future?
This workshop is for artists of all disciplines
